Katie Beard

Katie was born in 1881 in Jackson Township, Decatur Co., Indiana.¹ Katie's father was Evan L. Beard and her mother was Mary Williams. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Beard and Elizabeth Snider. She had six brothers and six sisters, named William Wellington, Edward Francis, John L., Samuel Lemington, Ollis, Omer, Luella Adora, Nancy Ann, Elizabeth Ellen, Ida Belle, Stella and Esta Lee. She was the second youngest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 2 in 1883 in Jackson Township, Decatur Co., Indiana.¹
