James Calvin Bassham 
James Calvin was born on August 8th, 1893 in Mockesin, Lawrence Co., Tennessee.1 James Calvin's father was James Richard Bassham and his mother was Louise Josephine (Lou) Rhodes. His paternal grandparents were James Monroe, Jr. Bassham and Tempa Malinda Bassham. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert Clinton, Jay Felix, Cecil Irving, Ada Bell, Maryanna F., Ella May and Beulah Irene. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 72 on June 15th, 1966 in Springfield, Greene Co., Missouri.1 General Notes
