Archibald Franklin, Jr. was born on August 18th, 1889 in Salem, Fulton Co., Arkansas.1 Archibald Franklin, Jr.'s father was Archibald Franklin Bassham and his mother was Martha Alice Brown. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Frederick Howard Basham and Elizabeth Charity Ray. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John Frederick Howard, William Edward, Chadmath Shalor, Maude Ann Elizabeth, Lillie Belle and Georgia Cecil. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 47 on April 20th, 1937 in Hot Springs, Garland Co., Arkansas.1 General Notes
