Samuel C. Basham 
Samuel C. was born on September 11th, 1850 in Kingston, Madison Co., Arkansas.1 Samuel C.'s father was James Madison Basham and his mother was Mary Ann Johnston. His paternal grandparents were John Basham and Elizabeth Finley; his maternal grandparents are Samuel Carter Johnson and Margaret Ann Springer. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William, John Pickens, Margaret and Mary Ella. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 69 on April 17th, 1920 in Probably, Monterey Co., Calif.1 General Notes
