Mary Ella Basham 
Mary Ella was born in August 1860 in Kingston, Madison Co., Arkansas.1 Mary Ella's father was James Madison Basham and her mother was Mary Ann Johnston. Her paternal grandparents were John Basham and Elizabeth Finley; her maternal grandparents are Samuel Carter Johnson and Margaret Ann Springer. She had three brothers and a sister, named William, Samuel C., John Pickens and Margaret. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 70 in 1930.1 General Notes
