Rebecca Catherine was born on November 23rd, 1842 in Monroe Co., Virginia.1 Rebecca Catherine's father was John Basham and her mother was Catherine Ball. Her paternal grandparents were William Loyd Basham and Ama Meador. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Allen M., Joseph A., Abraham P, Augustus, William M., John S., Elizabeth and Mary A.. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 63 on May 7th, 1906.1 General Notes
