John A. Basham 
John A. was born on January 17th, 1865 in King, Coryell Co., Texas.1 John A.'s father was Coffey Jones Basham and his mother was Julia Ann Waggoner. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Basham and Elizabeth Coffey Marler. He had two brothers and three sisters, named William W., James Fudge, Dicey Ann, Arie W. (Amy) and Julia Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the six children. He had a half-sister named Talitha Cumile. He died at the age of 76 on July 10th, 1941 in Coryell Co., Texas.1 General Notes
