James Alford Basham 
James Alford was born on September 28th, 1902 in Kentucky.1 James Alford's father was Henry Thomas (Rev) Basham and his mother was Cecilia (Celia) Smiley. His paternal grandparents were Manoah Stone Basham and Elizabeth Armes. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Joel H., John 'Wesley', Ada Ellen, Jesse Green, Curvie Dee, Jester Omer, Cova Frances and Clara Girtrude. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 81 on May 24th, 1984 in Kentucky.1 General Notes
