Garnetta Basham 
Garnetta was born in January 1888 in Kentucky.1 Garnetta's father was Owen Henry Basham and her mother was Joanna Dowell. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Thomas Basham and Melissa Squires; her maternal grandparents are Robert Hall Dowell and Elizabeth R. McCoy. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Harry B., Henry Kenneth, Nora, Essie Max, Sylva V., Annie Gertrude and Rosa. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 79 in 1967. She was buried in Cap Anderson Cem., Meade Co., Kentucky.1 1 General Notes
