Bessie Mary Basham 
Bessie Mary was born on April 22nd, 1890 in Ludwig, Johnson Co., Arkansas.1 Bessie Mary's father was James Oliver Basham and her mother was Clara Jane King. Her paternal grandparents were James Oliver, Sr. Basham and Lemira Jane Shelton. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Walter Newton, Clemmie Lamira, King James, Heartsill Alfred, Bertha Minnie, Jewelle Oma and Imogene. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 95 on April 16th, 1986 in Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Arkansas.1 General Notes
