George Alvey

George was born on June 8th, 1823 in Perry Co., Indiana.¹   George's father was John Baptist, Sr. Alvey and his mother is Mary Lake.  His paternal grandparents are Thomas Green, Sr. Alvey and Monica Unknown. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Aaron, John Baptist, Jr., Infant, Infant, Monica Ann, Mary Ann, Nancy Jane, Susannah and Henrietta.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 58 on March 2nd, 1882 in Perry Co., Indiana.¹ 

‌George and Phoebe were married in a religious ceremony on September 4th, 1842 in Brown Co., Illinios.¹
