Mary Ann Elizabeth Allen 
Mary Ann Elizabeth was born in 1832 in Claiborne, Louisana.1 Mary Ann Elizabeth's father was John Calhoun Allen and her mother was Mary Ann Holcombe. Her paternal grandfather was Hiram Allen and her paternal grandmother is Mary Ann Susanna Unknown. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Hiram George, John Birchfield, James D., Harmon Holcombe, George Washington, Thomas Price, Cassandra Ann and Martha. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 77 on July 17th, 1909 in Lufkin, Angelina Co., Texas. She was buried in Gann Cemetery, Lufkin, Angelina Co., Texas.1 1 General Notes
