Martha Allen 
Martha was born in 1840 in Claiborne, Louisana.1 Martha's father was John Calhoun Allen and her mother was Mary Ann Holcombe. Her paternal grandfather was Hiram Allen and her paternal grandmother is Mary Ann Susanna Unknown. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Hiram George, John Birchfield, James D., Harmon Holcombe, George Washington, Thomas Price, Mary Ann Elizabeth and Cassandra Ann. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died in Cherokee, Texas. She was buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Wills, Texas.1 1 General Notes
