Amanda Louella was born on February 13th, 1873 in Angelina Co., Texas.1 Amanda Louella's father was George Washington Allen and her mother was Matilda Crawford. Her paternal grandparents were John Calhoun Allen and Mary Ann Holcombe. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Obediah Thomas, Samuel Edward, Anna Belle Jane, Dulcenie, Mina Ella, Adaline and Alva. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 62 on November 29th, 1935 in Angelina Co., Texas.1 General Notes
