Isabel was born in 1243 in Montpellier, Herault, France.1   Isabel's father was James Pedrez "I" de Aragon and her mother was Yolande de Hungary.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Alfonsez "II" de Aragon and Mary de Montpellier; her maternal grandparents were Andrew "II" de Hungary and Yolande de Courtenay. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Peter "III", James, Sancho, Peter, James, Yolante and Constance. She had a half-brother named Alphonso.  She died in Cosenza, Calabria, Italy.  She was buried in St. Denis Abbey, Seine, France.1 1

‌Isabel and Philip Augustus "III" were married in a religious ceremony on May 28th, 1262 in Clermont-en-Auvergne, Puy-de-Dome, Franc.1   They had four sons and a daughter, named Louis, Philip "IV", Robert, Charles "I" and Blanche.
