Sarah was born in August 1888 in Logan Co., West Virginia.1 Sarah's father was James Madison Lowe and her mother was Margaret Elizabeth Fowler. Her paternal grandparents are Elisha Lowe and Elizabeth Doss. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Theophilus G., Naploleon Elisha, Joseph A., Lizzie B., Mary J. and Leona. She is the second youngest of the seven children.-
