John was born in 1838.1 John's father is John Locke and his mother is Drusilla. His paternal grandfather was James Locke and his paternal grandmother is Sarah Austin. He has two brothers and a sister, named Thomas Walker, Charles and Sarah. He is the oldest of the four children.
