Guillaume Lemoine 
Guillaume was born on December 20th, 1797 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.1 Guillaume's father was Guillaume Lemoine and his mother was Marie Barbe Couvillon. His paternal grandparents were Jean Baptiste Lemoine and Catherine Simon; his maternal grandparents were LOUIS Amable Quevillon and MARIANNE Pourciau. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Francois, Jean Baptiste Guillaume, Jean Pierre, Sophie and Louisa. He died before 1850.1 General Notes

"Marie and Guillaume were married about twelve years when they decided to move their family to the low land of the parish, choosing a site on the east bank of Bayou des Glaises a few miles north of the present village of Moreauville.
