Eugene Gerard 
Eugene was born in 1845 in Pointe Coupee, Louisiana.1 Eugene's father was Etienne Gerard and his mother was Eugenie Simon. His paternal grandparents were Rene Gerard and Agathe Angelique Louassil; his maternal grandparents were Etienne Simon and Eugenie Dufour. He had two brothers and a sister, named Stephen, Jules and Marie Eugenie. He was the second youngest of the four children.1 -
