Joseph French 
Joseph was born in August 1760 in Hanover Co., Virginia.1 Joseph's father was William French and his mother is Rachel. His paternal grandfather was JOHN C. FRENCH and his paternal grandmother is MARTHA FLINT. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, Samuel, William and Rebecca. He died at the age of 77 on January 24th, 1838 in Fentress Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
Served in the Revolutionary War. Pension application is in the National Archives. He had a brother William and a sister Rebecca.
‌Joseph and Judah were married in a religious ceremony on July 10th, 1783 in Henry Co., Virginia.2 They had a son named Martin Luther.

Martin Luther was born on January 6th, 1807 in Overton Co., Tennessee.3 He died at the age of 91 on November 11th, 1898 in Overton Co., Tennessee. He was buried in French Mountain Cemetary, Overton Co., Tennessee.3 3
