Mary Payne was born in 1670 in Curles Plan., Henrico, Va. Mary Payne's father was Robert Col WOODSON and her mother was Elizabeth FERRIS. Her paternal grandparents were John Sr WOODSON and Sarah WINSTON; her maternal grandfather was Richard FERRIS and her maternal grandmother is Mrs-Richard FERRIS. She had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Robert, Richard, Joseph, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Sarah, Elizabeth William, Judith William and Mary. She was the third youngest of the eleven children.
