His paternal grandfather was Abraham VICKERS and his paternal grandmother is Mary FRANCE; his maternal grandfather was Nicolas DILLON and his maternal grandmother is Mary UNKNOWN. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Abraham, Esther, Mary, Rebeccah, Rachel and Mercy. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
