William VANCE

William was born about 1594 in <Of Blackburn, , Scotland>. William's father was John VANCE and his mother is Margaret MCDOWELL. His paternal grandparents are Patrick VANCE and Lady Catherine KENNEDY; his maternal grandparents are UCHTRED MCDOWELL and MARY STEWARD. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Patrick, John, Samuel, Andrew, James, David, Jennet, Margaret and Grizell. He is the second oldest of the ten children.
