James M. Thaxton 
James M. was born about 1814 in , Halifax, Virginia. James M.'s father was George Thaxton and his mother was Sarah Bailey. His paternal grandparents were Abel Thackston and Lucy Davis; his maternal grandfather was Yancey Bailey and his maternal grandmother is Sarah FAWLKES. He had a brother and four sisters, named Jordan Reese, Lucy, Nancy, Parmelia and Parthena. He was the youngest of the six children. He died in June 1864 in Lawrence Co.,Missouri.-
