Robert was born on June 19th, 1785 in Pooley, Barton, Westmorland, England. Robert's father was John TAYLOR and his mother was Agnes WHITTINGTON. His paternal grandfather was Christopher TAYLOR and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth SEWARD SUART; his maternal grandfather was Robert WHITTINGTON and his maternal grandmother is Eleanor DICKINSON.
