Her paternal grandfather was Christopher TAYLOR and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth SEWARD SUART; her maternal grandfather was Robert WHITTINGTON and her maternal grandmother is Eleanor DICKINSON. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Christopher, Robert, John, Joseph, Thomas, Eleanore and Ann. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
