Joseph Walker was born on August 25th, 1832 in Kersley, Lancashire, England. Joseph Walker's father was James TAYLOR and his mother was Alice WALKER. His paternal grandparents are James TAYLOR and Ann WALKER; his maternal grandparents are James WALKER and Betty HUCHINSON. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Wallace, Peter Walker, Peter, Betty, Sarah Ann and Martha Jane. He was the oldest of the seven children.
