Nathan was born on May 14th, 1815 in Greenwich, Washington, New York.  Nathan's father was John TANNER and his mother was Lydia STEWART.  His paternal grandparents were Joshua TANNER and Thankful TEFFT; his maternal grandparents were William STEWART and Amy HUTTON. He had nine brothers and three sisters, named William Stewart, Willard, Sidney, John Joshua, Edward (Twin), Edwin (Twin), Pardon, Martin Henry, Albert Miles, Matilda, Romelia and Maria Louisa.  He was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 95 on December 17th, 1910 in Granger, Salt Lake, Utah.  He was buried in December 1910 in Murray City Cemetery, Salt Lake, Utah.


Nathan's family with Rachel Winter SMITH

‌Nathan and Rachel Winter were married in a religious ceremony on June 29th, 1836 in Bolton, Warren, New York.  They had four sons and seven daughters, named John William, Nathan, Stewart Tefft, Franklin Smith, Romelia, Lydia Jane, Helen Alcy, Rachael Winter, Emily Sophia, Matilda Maria and Julaette.
