His maternal grandfather is James Thompson PATTON and his maternal grandmother was Mary PHILLIPS. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Horace Albert, Shelah Boaz, Norval Isom, Edna Alcena, Callie, Mary Delpha, Alma Rebecca, Ida May and Beulah. He is the fourth oldest of the ten children.-
