Her maternal grandfather is James Thompson PATTON and her maternal grandmother was Mary PHILLIPS. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Horace Albert, Shelah Boaz, Samuel Franklin, Norval Isom, Edna Alcena, Callie, Mary Delpha, Ida May and Beulah. She is the third youngest of the ten children.-
