Anna was born on January 25th, 1863 in Neukirch, Swtz. Anna's father was Arnold Rudolph SCHULTHESS and her mother was Anna Maria MOOR. Her paternal grandparents were Arnold SCHULTHESS and Margaretha SCHUHMACHER; her maternal grandparents were Hans Jakob MOOR and Elisabetha MELLIGER. She had two brothers and a sister, named Arnold Henry, Jacob and Maria Louisa. She was the second oldest of the four children.
