Lydia was born on May 28th, 1680 in Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut. Lydia's father was Nathaniel ROYCE and her mother was Hannah MORGAN. Her paternal grandparents were Robert ROYCE and Mrs. Robert ROYCE; her maternal grandparents were James MORGAN and Margery (Twin) HILLS. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Nehemiah, Joanna (Hannah), Mercy, Mary, Esther and Margery. She was the third youngest of the eight children. Mary was born on January 5th, 1717 in Wallingford, N.h., Conn.. She died at the age of 81 on March 20th, 1798 in Harwinton, Litchfield, Ct.
