Henry Percy, son of Henry "Hotspur" Percy was the 5th Earl of Northumberland from 1416 to 1455. Henry spent his youth in exile at St. Andrews, in the company of the future James I of Scotland. He was restored to his family's dignity and estates by Henry V in 1416, and became a member of the council of regancy on Henry's death in 1422. A supporter of Henry VI's queen, Margaret of Anjou, he opposed Richard, 3rd Duke of York, and his allies, the Neville, hereditary enemies of the Percys; on May 22, 1455 he fought with the Lancastrians at St. Albans and fell fighting the Nevilles. )The Wars of the Roses: 185, 217)
