William PROVOST 
William was born in 1639 in New York, New York, New York. William's father was David William PROVOST and his mother was Margareta (Gillis) TEN WAERT. His paternal grandfather was Johannes PROVOST and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents are Gillis TEN WAERT and Barbara Schut. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Johannes, David, Benjamin, Elias, Samuel, David Jonathon, Gillis, Grietje Margaritje, Barbara and Barbara. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 59 in 1698. He was buried on May 4th, 1698 in Barnstable, , Massachusetts.General Notes
