Jonathan PROVOOST 
Jonathan's baptism took place on February 18th, 1722 in Bushwick,Kings,N.Y.. Jonathan's father was David Jonathan PROVOOST and his mother was Christina PRAA. His paternal grandfather was David Jonathon PROVOST and his paternal grandmother is Catherine VANDERVEEN; his maternal grandparents were Pieter PRAA and Maria HAY. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Johannes, Jonathan, Peter Praa, David, Catherine and Maria. He died in 1805.General Notes
Notes for Jonathan Provost: About the time of his marriage he settled upon the 808 acres purchased by Peter Praa, at Georges Rd, Middlesex Cty., N.J., and lived there until his death in 1805. In deeds he is styled "Gentleman." Besided this farm at Georges's Rd, he owned the Praa Homestead in Greenpoint, and several houses and lots in New York City.
