Robert "Lee" was born on December 12th, 1810 in ,Botetourt, Va. Robert "Lee"'s father was Moses PERSINGER and his mother is Charlotte "Lottie" RAYHILL. His paternal grandparents were John Christopher PERSINGER and Maria Barbara PENCE; his maternal grandparents were Mathew RAYHILL and Esther STULL. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Allen P., Harvey, James S., Mariah W, Sophronia and Charlotte. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 70 on March 24th, 1881 in , Alleghany, Va.-
