James S. PERSINGER 
James S. was born on March 9th, 1816 in , Greenbrier, Virginia. James S.'s father was Moses PERSINGER and his mother is Charlotte "Lottie" RAYHILL. His paternal grandparents were John Christopher PERSINGER and Maria Barbara PENCE; his maternal grandparents were Mathew RAYHILL and Esther STULL. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Allen P., Harvey, Robert "Lee", Mariah W, Sophronia and Charlotte. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 75 in 1891.-
