Her paternal grandparents were George NIXON and Hannah WILSON; her maternal grandparents were Anthony Trimmer and Margaret Hunt. She had six brothers and three sisters, named David Palmer, Samuel Brady, William F., Boston A., Hiram D., Elihu, Martha L., Sarah Lovina and Sarah Elizabeth.
