Philip Metzger 
Philip was born on July 24th, 1824 in Morrison's Cove, Bedford Co., PA. Philip's father was Jacob Metzger and his mother is Elizabeth Christian. His paternal grandparents were John Metzger and Christina\Christianna HOOVER. He had a brother named John C.. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 79 on May 16th, 1904 in Douglass, Butler Co., KS.-
