Matthew MEADOR 
Matthew was born on September 8th, 1813 in , Smith, Tennessee. Matthew's father was Jeptha Moore MEADOR and his mother was Sarah HIRES. His paternal grandparents were Joel MEADOR and Sarah "Sallie" MOORE; his maternal grandfather was Lewis HIRES and his maternal grandmother is Mary Ann (Mariam) UNKNOWN. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Ambrose, Joel B, Iredil, Elias, Martin F., Granville, Simon W, Mary and Mary Ann. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
