John MATHEW 
John was born about 1431 in Of Llandaf, Cibwr, Glamorgan, Wales and his baptism took place in {gwaithfoed}. John's father was Dafydd MATHEW and his mother is Gwenllian Verch DAFYDD. His paternal grandfather was Mathew Ap IEUAN and his paternal grandmother is Jonet FLEMING; his maternal grandparents are Dafydd Ap GWILYM and Gwenllian Verch PHILIP. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Rimron, William "Fawr", Thomas I, John, David, Jenkin, William "Leia", Morgan, Jane, Margred and Ellen. He was the second oldest of the twelve children.
