Walter Thornton Lucas 
Walter Thornton was born on February 23rd, 1870 in Stockport, Van Buren Co. IA. Walter Thornton's father was Francis Marion Lucas and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Lazenby. His paternal grandparents were Amos Lucas and Catherine Ann Glover. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Edwin E, Frank N, Alice Mae, Laura Jane, Elizabeth Belle, Nora A and Mary Fay. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 84 on December 27th, 1954 in Beaumont, Jefferson Co. TX.-
