General Notes
About the year of 1755, as a young man, John came to Delaware from his native England. Shortly after his arrival, he married a New England girl whose name has not been preserved.
John were married in a religious ceremony about 1760 in Delaware.1 He had five biological sons named Thomas, Amos, Archibald, Samuel and Nehemiah.

Amos Glover
Amos was born on April 3rd, 1762 in Lewes, Sussex Co. DE.1 He died at the age of 81 in 1843 in Farmington, Van Buren Co. IA. He was buried in Croton, Lee Co. IA.1 1
Samuel Glover
Samuel was born about 1770 in Lewes, Sussex Co. DE.1 He died on April 2nd, 1850 in Noble Co. OH.1
Nehemiah Glover
Nehemiah was born about 1775 in Wilmington, New Castle Co. DE.1 He died about 1845 in Glovergap, Marion Co. VA. He was buried in Tunnel Hill.1 1
