Eli Legg 
Eli was born on January 4th, 1772 in Prince William, VA. Eli's father was James Legg and his mother was Elizabeth Margaret Hughes. His paternal grandparents were Fortunatus Legg and Hannah Smith; his maternal grandparents were Matthew Arbucle or Math Hughes and Isbella Jane Wiseman. He had six brothers and three sisters, named George, Nathaniel, William, Thomas, Gustavus B., Francis, Peggy, Nully and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 63 on July 17th, 1835 in Alexandria, DC.General Notes

year of his age. In the death of Mr. Legg, his numerous and
respectable family are deprived of a kind and affectionate husband and
father, and his generous and good qualities will long be remembered by
