Temperance was born on May 23rd, 1811 in West Tarboro, Pitt, North Carolina. Temperance's father was Henry JOLLEY and her mother was Frances MANNING. Her paternal grandfather was John JOLLEY and her paternal grandmother is Louisa BRYAN; her maternal grandparents are Reuben MANNING and Diana MCCOY. She had two brothers and nine sisters, named Reuben Manning, Henry Bryant Manning, Martha Or Patsey, Patsey, Deanna Louise, Omega, Orna Jessie, Frances Rilla, Francis Tilla, Lina Maniza Or Linemanza and Linemenza. She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 91 on November 16th, 1902 in Mona, Juab, Utah. She was buried on November 20th, 1902 in Mona, Juab, Utah.General Notes
