Joseph C. was born in Hagerstown, Wayne Co., IN.1 Joseph C.'s father was Isaac B. Hoover and his mother was Mary Ann Longnecker\Longenecker. His paternal grandparents were John Hoover and Elizabeth Brumbaugh. He had four brothers and a sister, named Isaac L., John L., Benjamin, Henry and Anna Mary. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Samuel and Elizabeth. He died in November 1938.1 -
