John Hoover was born on December 26th, 1844 in Fredericksburg, Clover Creek, Blair Co., PA. John Hoover's father was John Puderbaugh Hoover and his mother was Christina Brumbaugh Hoover. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan HOOVER and Elizabeth PUTERBAUGH; his maternal grandparents were John Hoover and Elizabeth Brumbaugh. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Christian, Isaac, Martin C., Christianna, Elizabeth, Esther and Harriet. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 81 on March 27th, 1926 in Cross Keys, Duncansville, Blair Co., PA.-
