Jacob HOOVER 
Jacob was born in 1773 in Lancaster,Earl Twsp, Pa. Jacob's father was Matthias HOOVER and his mother was Mary "Maria" Gefeller. His paternal grandfather was Jacob Huber HOOVER and his paternal grandmother is Anna UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Adam or Abrahamk Gefeller and Mary Magdalene HUBER. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Martin L, Christopher, John H., Nancy, Sarah Sally, Mary Polly and Elizabeth Betsey. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 100 in 1873 in Rutherford, TN. He was buried in Hoover's Gap, , Nc.General Notes
