Isaac Haney was born on May 5th, 1789 in , Meckleburg, N.c.. Isaac Haney's father was George Jr. HELMS and his mother was Sarah PRESLEY. His paternal grandfather was George Sr. HELMS and his paternal grandmother is Mary Margaret FALKENBOROUGH; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Pressler PRESLEY and Sarah CULPEPPER. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Son, Pamly Uriah, Charles, Isreal, Clorinda and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
