Ephraim was born in 1805 in Monongalia Co. VA.  Ephraim's father was Nehemiah Glover and his mother was Tabitha Dorcas Coen.  His paternal grandfather was John Glover. He has seven brothers and six sisters, named John, Samuel, William, Nehemiah Jr, Isaaac, Amos, Leonard, Barbara Ellen, Mary, Margaret, Mary, Lucy and Daughter.  He is the fourth oldest of the fourteen children.
